Kurt A. Gibson, DDS, PA Winston-Salem, NC
Educated at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Gibson comes from a family deeply committed to oral health. His Father and uncle (identical twins) practiced for 50 years in rural Oklahoma. Dr. Gibson practiced along side of them for 20 years. When they retired, he made an extensive search to find his perfect location right here in Winston Salem.
Dr. Gibson has served as a delegate to the Oklahoma Dental Association, Trustee to the Oklahoma Dental Foundation, President of the Northwest district and as team leader for his congressional district to the American Dental Associations grass roots effort in legislation which would further the goals of protecting the general public. He was honored with the Richard T. Oliver Award for his legislative efforts on behalf of Oklahoma dentists.
Dr. Gibson is currently and active member in the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Association, District 4, and Forsyth County Dental Association along with various study clubs. He is a member of the Dean’s Circle of the J. Dean Robertson Society recognized for his contribution to dental education and scholarship. He has also been awarded the Dale Carnegie highest award for achievement.
While In dental school Dr. Gibson was the co-recipient of the Warner Lambert preventive dentistry Scholarship and was received the award from the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry in recognition for his service and devotion restorative dentistry.
Dr. Gibson is an active member in the community giving of his time to the Community Care Clinic, Missions of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile and the Baptists Men’s Dental Bus as well as many foreign mission endeavors to Central America, Jamaica, and Eastern Europe.
Dr. Gibson and his wife Carrie have four children and five grandchildren. They enjoy hiking, traveling and spending time together with their standard poodles. Carrie owns her real estate firm in Clemmons.
